Involve the community before it's a crisis.

• Two-way communication with parents and teachers on the decisions that affect them.
• Surface problems early, while they're still solvable, not after they've become headlines.
• Get more parents interested in running for the board — and if needed, ask voters to impose a two-term limit.
• Too many of our seats go to repeat incumbents, sometimes unopposed. Fresh voices keep this district out of an echo chamber.
